Christmas Day walk in Liverpool

After spending Christmas Eve in the Hard Days Night Hotel on North John Street, the next morning I took a short walk from the hotel to where my car was parked at the multi-story car park on Victoria Street. I was very surprised to find the city practically dead. On a normal Wednesday it would be bustling with activity but on this Christmas morning not much was happening at all. There was very few people on the streets and barely any traffic at all.

I took a few snaps on my way to get my car and I decided to share them. Hope you enjoy viewing these, as much as I enjoyed taking them.

The iconic Mathew Street looks empty as just one person was seen walking along
A single van is seen turning from North John Street onto Victoria Street
Not much activity along Victoria Street, although a few shops remained open
Molly Malones and Stanley Street on Christmas Day
A lovely view of Temple Court
Everyman Cinema was, as expected, closed

A view of St John’s Beacon from Crosshall Street
Of course, we had to finish with a selfie with St John’s Beacon visible behind me
